Jonathan Labelle was born in the outskirts of Montreal (Mascouche). He was raised in a Christian family where biblical values were taught and gave his life to Christ at the age of twelve. During his teenage years he made bad choices and decisions that led him away from God. He tasted what the world had to offer him. He kept going to church once in a while and God showed him that He wanted more for him than the pleasures that the world had to offer. So Jonathan decided to repent from his bad actions and abandoned his bad ways to follow and walk with God. He followed his sister’s steps and decided to go to Bible school at Parole de Vie. When he finished his schooling he returned to his local church and started to get involved with the youth group at his church. His desire was to work with the youth of Quebec but he did not know how. All he knew was that God was calling him to do this. In his local church he continued to be involved and participate with Parole de Vie on a regular basis. A few years later he decided that he wanted to be trained on how to be a missionary by a missionary. This person was more than a missionary to Jonathan. He was a leader at his local church and responsible for the youth club. He was also an old friend of the family. Serge Lemée is this person who took him under his wing. He is also a missionary for Parole de Vie. Serge and Jonathan spent a lot of time together preparing activities and workshops for people who are responsible for Parole de Vie youth clubs. As time went by Jonathan began to have the desire to serve the Lord as an Area missionary like Serge but for the eastern part of Québec. Our Lord guided Jonathan to serve Him in the Saguenay region where he is now responsible for the youth clubs since September 2004.
